Byrde L. (Rodgers) Lansberry, 86, of Clearfield died Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.
She was born June 29, 1927, the daughter of John A. and Byrde O. (McGarvey) Rodgers. She was a graduate of the Clearfield Area High School.
She was a homemaker and beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the West Side United Methodist Church.
She loved spending time with family, golfing and playing cards with friends.
She’s survived by her husband, Richard J. Lansberry, whom she married March 10, 1951 at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Clearfield.
She’s survived by a son, Roger L. Lansberry and his wife, Linda of Indiana, Pa. and a daughter, Judi A. Spontarelli and her husband, Jeff of Longmont, Colo.; three grandchildren, Stephen Lansberry, Andrew Lansberry, Lindsey Fitzmaurice and her husband, Adam; and a brother, David M. Rodgers and his wife, Cleo of Williamsport; and a number nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Jack, Jim and Bill Rodgers; and a sister, Marjorie “Nan” Barger.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the West Side United Methodist Church, 317 Nichols St., Clearfield, with the Rev. Dr. Joleen A. Willis officiating. Burial will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc., Clearfield, and from 10 a.m. until the hour of the services Monday at the church.
