Edna M. Karp, 74, of Hyde died Friday, June 20, 2014 at her home.
Mrs. Karp was born Oct. 19, 1939 in Winburne, the daughter of Thomas S. and Eva L. (Fortney) Carr.
She was a homemaker. She had owned and operated Karp’s Ceramics in Hyde. She was affiliated with the Methodist faith.
She was a former member and president of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Frenchville, a former member and president of the SGT William L. Dixon Detachment Ladies Auxiliary and a former member of TOPS.
Mrs. Karp is survived by her husband, Robert J. Karp, whom she married Dec. 5, 1959 in Allport; a son, David R. Karp and his wife, Lori of Hyde; and a daughter, Sharon K. Hertlein and her husband, Dennis J. of Hyde.
She’s survived by four grandchildren, Stacey L. and Justin R. Karp and Courtney A. and Ryan J. Hertlein; four brothers, Doug, Floyd, James and Monty; and two sisters, Joan and Sandy.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Richard, Leroy, Bob and Ted.
Honoring Mrs. Karp’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or services.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 26 S. Second St., Clearfield, PA 16830.
