CLEARFIELD – The second-ever Bloom and Berry Bash will feature some great food and live entertainment, as well as opportunities to enjoy the river and to spend time in downtown Clearfield.

The summer bash will be hosted by the Clearfield Revitalization Corp. (CRC) on June 28. It will kick-off at 10 a.m. with vendors lining Market and Third streets.

More than 60 talented artisans will feature work, ranging from ceramics, fiber, wood, leather and metalwork to jewelry, glass, photography and mixed-media art pieces.

There will also be great food to enjoy and live entertainment provided by Guitarnia. Music will begin at 11 a.m. in front of the Courthouse and will continue with local bands Twin Reverb followed by Shrapnel, beginning at 2:30 p.m.

In addition, the CRC will host its fifth annual “Anything that Floats” Boat Regatta. This man-made boat race includes cash prizes of up to $150 and will have participants racing down the West Branch of the Susquehanna River from Upper to Lower Witmer Park.

The CRC welcomes boy scouts, girl scouts, businesses, friends, families and sports teams to participate in the boat regatta event. Registration for the event is still open.

Immediately following the boat regatta, the CRC will hold a Rubber Duck Derby. Each rubber duck will race its way downriver to the finish line and carry a unique number corresponding to the number on one of the purchased tickets.

Each ticket costs $5 and will earn its holder one duck in the race. The ducks are awaiting the chance to be the first across the finish line to win their ticket holder a $500 cash prize.

Ticket holders do not need to be present to win. Only 500 tickets will be sold and the first 100 children at the race will receive a souvenir rubber duck.

The Rubber Duck Derby is sponsored by Aarons, D.C. Chiropractics, Fullington Bus Company and Rob Bozovich State Farm. Duck Derby tickets can be purchased online at www.DiscoverClearfield.com or by contacting the CRC office.
