Lillian J. Skraba, 85, formerly of Sykesville, died Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Christ the King Manor.
Born Sept. 30, 1928 in Sykesville, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Vitello) Zaffuto.
On Aug. 18, 1951, she married Steve Skraba. He survives.
She was a homemaker and had previously worked at Ideal Products in Sykesville.
She was a life-long member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Rosary Society and active in church affairs.
The greatest joy of her life was being with her family especially the children. She loved to cook and plan meals for the holidays. She took great pride in her home. She lived her entire life on North Park Street in Sykesville.
She is survived by three daughters, Diane Blasdell and her husband, John of DuBois, Carol Zimmerman and her husband, Allan of Valdosta, Ga., and Jaynie Pisarcik of Sykesville; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Stella Zaffuto Tokash and a grandson, Michael Blakley.
There will be no public visitation.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Rick Tomasone as celebrant.
Burial will be in Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Cemetery.
