C. Glenn Myers, 72, of Clearfield died Thursday, May 29, 2014 in Clearfield. He was the husband of Louise A. (Learish) Myers of Clearfield, and they had been married since June 15, 1963.
Born Nov. 9, 1941 in Curwensville, he was the son of the late Cloyd Landis and Marjorie (Miles) Myers. Mr. Myers was a member of the First Baptist Church, Clearfield.
He was a veteran of the U.S .Army. He was employed with County National Bank, retiring after 42 years as vice president.
He was a member of the Clearfield Little League and Senior League as a coach and an officer for many years. He was a graduate of Clearfield High School in the class of 1959.
He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, exploring for Ginseng and was member of the Flying Squirrel Camp. He was an avid Penn State athletics fan, Clearfield High School basketball fan and followed his grandchildren and their athletic adventures.
Surviving are two sons, Stephen A. Myers and his wife, Kimberly of Findlay, Ohio and Keith G. Myers and his wife, Kathy of Morgantown, W. Va.; five grandchildren, Sarah, Emily, Megan, Rachel and Jacob Myers; and a brother, William Lee Myers of Cochranton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Eugene George and Robert Murray Myers.
A service to celebrate the life of C. Glenn Myers will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church, 111 N. Second St., Clearfield, with the Rev. Robert Achey officiating.
A time to share memories and have an opportunity to view will be held from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home, 312, E. Locust St., Clearfield, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the church.
Burial will be in Bradford Cemetery. Graveside military honors will be conducted by the DuBois Area Honor Guard.
