DUBOIS – Members of the DuBois City Council awarded the bids for two, different projects during Tuesday night’s meeting.
Council awarded the sewage treatment plant bridge repairs to Francis J. Palo Inc. Council noted that Francis J. Palo was the lowest bidder in the amount of $182,036.
Council awarded the Beaver Meadow walkway improvement project to Dave Roman Excavating Inc. in the amount of $49,780. Council noted that Dave Roman Excavating was the sole bidder for the project.
When asked, Engineer Chris Nasuti indicated the estimated cost for the Beaver Meadow walkway improvement project was $50,000.
However, council decided to re-bid the Beaver Meadow Dog Park project. The lowest bid for the dog park project was $66,238.
City Manager John “Herm” Suplizio noted that the city has only received a $25,000 grant toward the dog park.
