Jeffrey Lawrence Frye, a man after God’s own heart, 52, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 20, 2014.
Mr. Frye, a resident of Clearfield and formerly of Pompton Plains, NJ, is survived by his wife of 26 years, Kelly, and his children, Bryce-Lynn and Jamie Riehl and Brielle Frye, all of Clearfield, and Kelsey and Kylie Frye of Hyde.
He is also survived by his parents, Edward and Cathy Frye of Pequannock, NJ. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Moriah Joy Riehl.
Mr. Frye spent most of his life teaching and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. He had most recently been involved with teaching at a new local church in the area called The Bridge, located at 8908 Clearfield-Curwensville Hwy. It’s a church that worships together and teaches the truth of God’s word in a “come as you are” atmosphere and meets people right where they’re at.
His heart, soul and passion though have been for Living Bread Ministries Inc. and his “family” there. As the director of Living Bread Ministries in Clearfield, a non-profit, local food pantry serving more than 180 families in the community for the past three years, he has impacted lives and been impacted by the lives of those who have come through the doors. It is and was his greatest desire that those who have been touched by his life during his time there would choose to walk in the love, peace and freedom of Christ that he tirelessly taught.
There will be a memorial service held at 12 p.m. May 31 at the Hyde Wesleyan Church, 1215 Riverview Rd., Clearfield, with refreshments following.
It is the family’s request that you would prayerfully consider making a tax deductible donation to the place Mr. Frye loved so much in lieu of giving flowers. If you feel led, please send your donation to Living Bread Ministries Inc., 628 Daisy St., Clearfield, PA 16830.
The Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, is in charge of arrangements.
