Work near Beaver Stadium Affects Traffic on University Drive

Travel delays likely through stadium area

STATE COLLEGE – PennDOT alerts State College area drivers to potential delays along University Drive between Curtin Road and Park Avenue.

Sidewalk construction and roadway widening on the east side of the road are taking place as part of the Beaver Stadium west parking lot expansion. This work will impact northbound drivers on University Drive, as traffic is moved into the median turn lane in order to travel through the work zone.

Southbound traffic will not be affected by this work and two-way traffic will be maintained throughout the project, which is expected to last until mid-June. All work is weather and schedule dependent.

PennDOT reminds drivers to move through all work zones with caution, obey posted speed limits and always buckle up.
