Bernice A. Bond, 92, of Morrisdale went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the home of her daughter, Constance “Connie” Merritt of Wallaceton.
Born Aug. 7, 1921 in Winburne, she was the daughter of the late Howard W. and Hilda M. (Holt) Hall. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Bond, and a brother and a sister, Alvin Hall Sr. and Violet Barry.
She’s survived by her daughter, Connie Merritt; a granddaughter, April Hanson; a great-granddaughter, Mindie Condon; and her husband, Wesley, all of Wallaceton; and a niece and nephews.
She was employed by the Strange & Weaver Funeral Home for 20 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Morrisdale.
She loved her Lord and family and she loved animals, especially cats. She loved to read the Bible, make cards and to write poems. One of her poems was recorded as a song. She enjoyed watching soaps.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Strange & Weaver Funeral Home, Morrisdale. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday with the Pastor Matthew Scott officiating.
Burial will be in the Grandview Cemetery.
