PLEASANT GAP – HealthSouth Nittany Valley Rehabilitation Hospital recently held a fundraiser for the American Heart Association.

The hospital sold hanging baskets to employees, just in time for Mother’s Day.

The sale was part of HealthSouth’s ongoing efforts to raise awareness of heart disease through its Heart Failure Rehabilitation Program, which has earned the Joint Commission’s Disease-Specific Care Certification.

Staff raised $250, with the help of Sammi’s Greenhouse, toward their fundraising goals for the American Heart Association.

Pictured with their flowers are, from left:  Jessica Coudriet, CRRN, nurse supervisor; Traci Curtorillo, CRRN, nurse manager and Heart Failure Program champion; and Sue Evans, RN, chief nursing officer.
