Obituary Notice: Shirley W. Kriner

Shirley W. Kriner, 87, formerly of DuBois died Sunday, April 27, 2014 at the DuBois Nursing Home.

Born Aug. 31, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Sara (Powell) Wilson.

On Dec. 7, 1952, she married Philip H. Kriner.  He preceded her in death in 2001.

She worked at the Riverside Market for 14 years in the Steak ‘n Snack.

She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church.  She was a member of the Bereans Sunday school class.

She’s survived by three children,  Evelyn Ripley and her husband, Jeff and April Kriner, both of DuBois and Kim Straley and her husband, Munro of Roaring Spring; one brother, Allen J. Wilson of Erie; seven grandchildren, Erin Straley, Amanda Herr, Emma Straley, Jessica Zettlemoyer, Rachel Bovaird, Jodi Kreger and Kerry Ripley; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Means; four brothers, Fred, Walter, LeRoy and LuRain Wilson; an infant brother; an infant sister; and two infant grandchildren, Philip and Sarah.

Friends will be received from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home with the Rev. Sarah Ott officiating.

Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
