Goshen Twp. Fire Damages Seasonal Residence

GOSHEN TOWNSHIP – A fire damaged a seasonal residence at 10:19 a.m. Saturday on the Caledonia Pike in Goshen Township, reported the state police at Ridgway.

The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal and the chief of the Goshen Township Fire Department investigated the origin and cause of the fire. The fire originated on the second floor of a wooden-framed seasonal residence.

The GTFD quickly contained the fire to its origin on the second floor. Damage is estimated at $10,000, state police said. The seasonal residence was owned by Paul Santmyer of Greensburg.

The fire was determined to be accidental in nature. In additional, no injuries occurred as a result of the fire, according to state police.
