Obituary Notice: Beverly M. Caprio

Beverly M. Caprio, 74 of Osceola Mills died Friday, April 18, 2014 at her residence. Born March 4, 1940 in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of Robert and Evelyn (Irwin) Cain.

She was 1958 graduate of Bellefonte High School. She was employed at the Findlay Dining Hall of Penn State University until her retirement.

On July 7, 1961, she married Frank L. Caprio, who preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 2011.

She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, family member and friend.

She enjoyed going for car rides, going out to eat, and watching television, especially old western shows. She also enjoyed cookouts and loved spending time with her family.

She will be greatly missed by her two sons, Joseph A. Caprio and his wife, Naomia of Philipsburg and Anthony “Tony” Caprio and his wife, Margaret and their sons, Anthony R., “Tony” Caprio Jr. and Cameron J. Caprio, all of Osceola Mills; a granddaughter, Angelina Strasburg and her husband, Mike and their sons, James and Gavin of New York; and two, step-grandchildren, Leo Johnson and his wife, Erin of Osceola Mills and Nicole Schnarrs and her husband, Josh and their son, Noah of Philipsburg.

Also surviving are a brother-in-law, Carman Caprio and his wife, Paula of Arkansas; a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Streck and her husband, Earl of Mill Hall; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and oldest son, James V. Caprio.

There will be no public visitation.

Burial will be in the Shenck Cemetery, Howard.

The Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale, is in charge of the arrangements.
