CLEARFIELD – In appreciation of its volunteers, the Clearfield Center for Active Living will host a Volunteer Appreciation Event on April 29 form 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Clearfield center volunteers are invited to pick up their certificate of appreciation and enjoy light refreshments.
Whether helping distribute farmers market vouchers, hosting a holiday party, providing a health service or serving at the center, volunteers make things happen for area boomers and seniors. More than 4,000 hours were donated to the center over the past year by nearly 100 volunteers.
The words of the Presidential Proclamation of National Volunteer Week earlier this month, “. . . we are all bound together . . . we move this country forward by giving of ourselves to others and caring for those around us” characterize local volunteers.
The center thanks all volunteers who give of their time and talents to improve the quality of life for the people it serves.
