Obituary Notice: Thomas Edward Kerin Sr.

Thomas Edward Kerin Sr., 58, of Drifting died Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born Nov. 28, 1955 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late James Michael and Bertha Mae McKissick Kerin-Stonebraker. Mr. Kerin enjoyed fishing, hunting, target shooting and working on cars.

He married Anita Conklin Kerin on Sept. 25, 1976 in Wallaceton. She survives in Drifting.

Mr. Kerin is survived by a daughter, Christina Hand and her husband, Edward Jr. of Clearfield; a son, Joseph Lee Kerin and his fiancé, Tina Mann of Drifting; a sister, Linda J. Kephart and her husband, Mark of Mount Joy; and three brothers, William J. Kerin and his wife, Gail of Bigler, Gerald Kerin and his companion, Elanor of Houtzdale and Michael J. Kerin and his wife, Sharon of State College.

He’s survived by seven grandchildren, Hunter, Kurtis and Nathen Hand, Matayha and Austin Kerin and Zachary and Caitlynn Mann and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Edward Kerin Jr. and a daughter-in-law, Diana Kerin.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the chapel of the Strange & Weaver Funeral Home, Morrisdale, with the Pastor Matt Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in the Sts. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Cemetery, Grassflat.

Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
