GLEN HOPE – A former volunteer firefighter has been accused of two arsons on Dec. 23, 2013 at 6369 Glen Hope Blvd., according to the state police at Clearfield.

The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal investigated the origin and cause of two fires. The first fire occurred at 9:25 a.m. and the second at 6 p.m. Both fires occurred on Dec. 23, 2013; the tenant, Craig A. Mahlon, 58, of Glen Hope was not at home at the time of either fire.

The cause of each fire, state police said, was arson. Upon investigation it was found that Nathaniel A. Mostoller, 24, of Madera was responsible, and he was charged with arson, burglary, criminal mischief and recklessly endangering another person.

Mostoller was arraigned and lodged in the Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
