FOX TOWNSHIP – The investigation is continuing into a fire that destroyed a barn Saturday night at 615 Byrnedale Rd. in Fox Township, reported the state police at Ridgway.
The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal and the Fox and Jay Township fire departments investigated the origin and cause of the fire. The fire destroyed a wooden-framed barn.
Two Holstein steer cows perished in the fire. The barn and its contents were a total loss, with damage being estimated at $100,000, state police said.
State police noted there weren’t any injuries as a result of the fire. The barn was owned by Edward J. Benevich, 66, of Weedville.
