Jerry Norris, 73, of Cheyenne, WY, and formerly of Curwensville, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014 at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
Born July 24, 1940 in Curwensville, he was the son of William and Chloe Norris. Mr. Norris was a U.S. Naval veteran and had been a truck driver for UPS and Interstate Trucking Company. He had lived in Cheyenne since 1972.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cheyenne and enjoyed painting, hunting and camping, and he was an outdoorsman.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mildred “Mimi” Norris; two sons, Mark Norris of Thailand and Scott Norris of Cheyenne and two daughters, Christina Norris of Cheyenne and Tammy Norris Bortot of Curwensville.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation services were performed by the Cheyenne Memorial Gardens and private memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family.
The family suggests contributions be made to support Mark Norris’ work as a missionary in care of the First Baptist Church, 1800 E. Pershing Blvd. Cheyenne, WY 82001.
