CLEARFIELD – The Central PA Outdoor & Sports Show will return to the Clearfield County Fairgrounds on March 28-30.

Slated as “one big outdoor weekend,” the show is held in conjunction with the Grice Gun Shop, Jim’s Sports Center and Bob’s Army & Navy sales events in downtown Clearfield.

The show will host a new array of exhibitors, such as adventure sport outfitters, fishing products and outdoor clothing lines, camping resorts and even some new artists.

New presenters are Allegheny wing-shooting presenter, Kevin Miller and award-winning fly tyer, Kieran Frye, as well as representatives from The Drive TV and Droppin ‘em TV.

Returning are favorites M&T’s Northeast American Trapper, Darin “The Animal” Freeborough; Quack Bang Fetch Retriever’s, Tim McGarry, State Rep. Tommy Sankey and Buckmaster’s Antler Scoring by Edson Waite.

Thanks to CNB Bank, children will be able to fish for free at the live trout pond all weekend, and PA Wildlife Habitat Unlimited will provide bird house projects.  On Sunday, the Susquehanna National Wild Turkey Federation will hold a sanctioned turkey calling contest and portrait artist, Reba Jean Stone, will be sketching portraits.

Fair manager Greg Hallstrom would like to thank the other area businesses that make the show possible. “Realizing the local economic impact, many local businesses, like Denny’s Beer Barrel Pub and Johnson Motors,  have pitched in this year to come together to show their support to the event, which draws thousands of people from all over Pennsylvania to Clearfield over the course of three days,” he said.

Show hours are 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. March 28-29 and 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. March 30. Tickets are $5 per adult; children 10 and under are free.  Tickets can be purchased in advance via the official show Web site.

This is the sixth annual show organized and promoted by First Media Radio, GantDaily.com, WJAC-TV and the Clearfield County Fair & Park Board.

A full list of exhibitors can be found on the official show Web site, centralpaoutdoorshow.com. For more information on the sanctioned turkey calling contest, please contact Nicky Leigey at nicky.leigey@verizon.net.
