Obituary Notice: Rosena L. Haag

Rosena L. Haag, 74, of Grampian died Thursday, March 20, 2014 at her home.

Born June 11, 1939 in Luthersburg, she was the daughter of the late Carl M. and Alda F. (Marshall) Schaffer. On June 8, 1957, she married Charles “Martin” Haag Sr., who survives.

Mrs. Haag was a homemaker and had worked for Christ the King Manor for 13 years.

She was a member of the St. Bonaventure Roman Catholic Church in Grampian.  She enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening and she especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She was loved by so many people.

She is survived by five children, Mona Crosby and her husband, Ed of Brockway; Chuck Haag and his wife, Michele and Lori Seger and her husband, Scott, both of Grampian; Gary Haag and his wife, Carla of Luthersburg; and Penny Titler of Brockport; nine brothers; four sisters; 16 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, one sister and one grandson.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Sunday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.

A scriptural wake service will be prayed at 6:45 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the St. Bonaventure Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Mark Mastrian as celebrant.

Burial will follow in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.

Memorials may be placed with the charity of the donor’s choice.
