Obituary Notice: Nadine E. “Dena” Hayward

Nadine E. “Dena” Hayward, 55, of Clearfield died Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Penn Highlands DuBois.

Mrs. Hayward was born April 4, 1958, the daughter of Joseph and Monarea (Helsel) Rumsky.

She graduated from the St. Francis High School and Clarion University.

Mrs. Hayward worked for Highpoint as a therapeutic staff support. She was a member of the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church, Clearfield.

She’s survived by her husband, Raymond of Clearfield, whom she married June 14, 1980, and three children, Amy Lynne Hayward and her companion, Michael, Cory Andrew Hayward and his wife, Kirsten and Alisha Rae Hayward, all of Clearfield.

She’s also survived by seven grandchildren, Benjamin, Cameron and Spencer Luzier, Nevaeh Pulchtopek, Aevril and Teaghun Hayward and Shalynne Bloom; a sister, Poema “Pam” Hertlein and her husband, Richard of Clearfield; two brothers, Michael T. Rumsky and his wife, Diane and Jeffrey L. Rumsky and his wife, Chrissy, all of Clearfield; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church, 212 S. Front St., Clearfield, with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee as celebrant.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc., Clearfield. A Christian Vigil service will be held at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the St. Francis Educational Endowment Fund, 212 S. Front St., Clearfield, PA 16830.
