CLEARFIELD – The Board of Elections is currently considering relocating three voting precincts, announced Dawn Graham, director of elections, at this week’s Clearfield County Commissioners’ meeting.

The voting precinct changes will affect: Lawrence Township/Plympton Precinct; Morris Township/Second Precinct; and DuBois City/Fifth Ward. The Lawrence Township precinct is currently located at the Florian Banquet Hall and will relocate to the Expo I Building at the Clearfield Driving Park if approved.

The Morris Township/Second Precinct is currently located at the St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church. If approved, it will relocate to the Morris Township Municipal Building. The DuBois City/Fifth Ward is currently located at the St. Joseph’s Church Hall and will relocate to the Goodwill Fire Company if approved.

“After careful consideration, we feel that these options meet all of the necessary requirements for a polling place, such as handicap accessibility and parking,” said Graham.

Anyone with questions, comments or objections is asked to submit them in writing to Dawn Graham, director of elections, at 212 E. Locust St., Suite 106, Clearfield, PA 16830, or via e-mail at elections@clearfieldco.org no later than 4 p.m. March 21.

The commissioners plan to address the voting precinct changes at their meeting March 25. Graham said this was in order for the changes to be in effect for the May 20 Primary Election.
