Eva Marie McCall Nolder, 100, of Grampian died Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Ridgeview Elder Care after a short illness.
Born April 18, 1913 in McCartney, she was the daughter of Arthur and Philomena (Provier-Waroquier) DuFour. Mrs. Nolder was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Bible Fellowship Church of Draucker’s Woods, where she was a Sunday school teacher. She was also the organist and pianist for more than 40 years and a member of the Good News Bible Club.
She was the oldest living member of the Edward Arthur Rafferty Grampian American Legion Post No. 632.
She first wed Ardell McCall in 1931 and who preceded her in death in 1970. She then wed Robert Nolder in 1971 and who preceded her in death in 1978.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jack McCall; a brother, Alex DuFour; three sisters, Alice Armstrong, Selena Moore and Lucy Hamm; and two sons-in-law, Donald Learish and James Murray. She was the last member of her generation.
Surviving are a daughter, Nancy Learish Murray; six grandchildren, Ken Learish and his wife, Marsha, Kim Musser and her husband, Robbie, Vonnie Centra and her husband, Larry, Jack McCall and his significant other, Jeannie Thomas, Rick McCall, and Randy McCall and his wife, Wanda; 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, Addison Edinger and Qwentyn Howsare.
Funeral services for Mrs. Nolder will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Bible Fellowship Church with the Rev. Kevin Beard and the Rev. Charles M. Lee Jr. co-officiating. Burial will be in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Grampian.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville and again from 10 a.m. Friday until the time of services at the church.
Members of the Edward Arthur Rafferty Grampian American Legion Post No. 632 will conduct memorial services at 7 p.m. Thursday.
