State police at Clearfield
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred Wednesday on Memorial Drive in Cooper Township. During the incident, someone utilized a blunt object to shatter a passenger’s side window to a 1990 Ford Probe. Damage is estimated at $150. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
State police at DuBois
- An incident of underage drinking occurred Sunday at a residence on Fire Tower Road in Winslow Township. During the incident, 18 juveniles were arrested for underage drinking while at a party. The investigation into the furnishing of the alcohol is still ongoing at this time.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an expiration that occurred in Kerr Addition.
- Police received a report about a drug violation at the Clearfield County Career & Technology Center.
- Police received a report about a drug violation at the Clearfield Area High School.
- Police received a report about a possible break-in in Country Club.
- Police received a report about an assault that occurred at an establishment on Turnpike Avenue Extension.
- Police received several reports to assist disabled motorists.
- Police checked the welfare of a male on Fire Tower Road.
- Police received a report about suspicious activity at an area bank. Upon arrival police advised personnel to notify them if it continues.
- Police received a report about a possible fraud incident in the area of Knotty Pine Road.
- Police received a report about a motor vehicle accident on Second Street. No injuries were reported and one vehicle was towed from the scene.
- Police received a report about an open door on Turnpike Avenue.
- Police received a report about a possible theft and criminal mischief incident.
- Police received a report about a possible theft that occurred at the Clearfield Area Middle School.
- Police received a report about an incident of disorderly conduct on state Route 879.
Curwensville Borough
- On Saturday, police received a report about a person who knocked at a Thompson Street residence and yelled to open the door. Police searched the area but couldn’t locate anyone.
- A Curwensville man has been identified for an incident in which he’d stolen a six-pack of beverages from Adam’s Golden Grill.
- A Curwensville High School student was found in possession of a controlled substance.
- After a 9-1-1 call from a Walnut Street residence on Tuesday, police found two people who were arguing over a phone.
DuBois City
- A domestic disturbance occurred Monday in the 300 block of West Long Avenue. The incident involved two women, and one left before police arrival. The women had been engaged in a verbal argument, and no charges were filed as a result.
- On Monday, police received a report about a combative patient at the DuBois Regional Medical Center – West. Upon arrival police found a patient who wanted to leave against medical advice. He was allowed to leave but charged with disorderly conduct because of his actions prior to police arrival.
- On Tuesday, a domestic disturbance occurred between a male and female in the first block of Olive Avenue. Both were allegedly throwing each other’s items out of the apartment. Upon arrival police resolved the situation, and the male agreed to leave. No charges were filed as a result of the incident.
- An alarm occurred Tuesday at Tractor Supply on Beaver Drive. Upon arrival police found the building secured.
- A patient caused a disturbance at a doctor’s office Tuesday in the 800 block of Beaver Drive. He left the scene prior to police arrival. When police arrived to the scene, they encountered the man and instructed him not to go back into the doctor’s office.
- A two-vehicle accident occurred Tuesday at the intersection of Liberty Boulevard and Hoover Avenue. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Also, two people were taken to DRMC-West. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- After receiving a tip from Johnsonburg police, a male was apprehended for having four warrants. He was taken to the Clearfield County Jail.
- An elderly DuBois woman reported Tuesday that she received a phone call from a man who spoke broken English. He claimed she’d won $4.5 million; however, she needed to pay $4,500 in taxes to claim it. Police would like to warn residents that this is a scam.
