DUBOIS – State Rep. Matt Gabler (R-Clearfield/Elk) will host a concealed carry permit seminar on March 24, at 6:30 p.m. The event will be held at the DuBois VFW, 114 Fuller St., DuBois.

“Whether you are considering applying for a permit or are an existing permit holder, this will be a great opportunity to learn what your rights are, as well as understand your responsibility when interacting with local law enforcement,” Gabler said.

Scheduled speakers for the seminar include Clearfield County Sheriff Wes Thurston, Elk County Sheriff Jeff Krieg, National Rifle Association instructor Bill Marsh and Attorney John Sobel. All will be available to answer individual questions as well.

“There are a lot of misconceptions about Pennsylvania’s concealed carry laws, and the purpose of this event is to give people the facts,” Gabler added. “We will be joined by very informative speakers, and there will be an opportunity for participants to ask questions.”

If you have questions about this event or any legislative issue, please contact Gabler’s DuBois office at 814-375-4688 or his St. Marys office at 814-781-6301.
