On Jan. 30, representatives from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Occupational/Vocational/Rehabilitation and State Rep. Tommy Sankey, toured the truck driving training division of the Clearfield County Career & Technology Center.

Program Coordinator, Douglas McClellan, gave a presentation on the program and had an open forum for questions and answers. The officials were later given a walking tour of the training area, as well as the diesel program, where students do most of the repairs to training vehicles.

McClellan stressed constant calls from transportation companies willing to accept graduates for immediate employment. Those in attendance stated they would work toward student enrollment and explore funding.  Pictured, from left, are Christine Palmer, district assistant director and Ralph Serifini, district director of OVR; Truck Driver Training Coordinator, Douglas McClellan; State Rep.
