STATE COLLEGE – A Step Beyond Massage Therapy has announced it’s expanding into a larger office at 431 E. Beaver Ave, State College. Doors opened at the new location on Jan 30. You can come and see the space built by Gilmore Construction and designed by Natalie Kellner, featuring photography by Susan Benedict.
A grand opening celebration will kick off at 4:30 p.m. Monday with a ribbon cutting ceremony held by the Chamber of Business & Industry of Centre County. Light snacks and wine sampling from Happy Valley Vineyards and Winery will be available and prizes awarded to the general public until 8 p.m.
The event will also be featuring pan flute and harp music by Ellen Slingerland, a harp therapist intern with Bedside Harp®. Free seated chair massage will be provided by Amber Titus, and the resident electrologist will be available to discuss the benefits of electrolysis.
A Step Beyond Massage Therapy has offered a wide range of massage therapy options in the downtown State College area for more than three years. A Step Beyond specializes in Deep Tissue Massage, which helps relieve problem areas, as well as relaxing therapies such as Hot Stone Therapy and Swedish Massage.

“You can spend an hour or two learning how to give your partner a better massage without hurting your hands in our exclusive Couples Massage class, or take our Infant Massage class and learn how to help your newborn with relaxation, bonding, gas and other common issues,” she said.
