CLEARFIELD – The roadway closure affecting Interstate 80 westbound in the region has been updated.
The closure impacts a shorter stretch of roadway than it had earlier today. PennDOT reports that I-80 in Clearfield County is closed between Exit 133 (Kylertown/Philipsburg) and Exit 123 (Woodland/Shawville). Accidents earlier in the day required that the closure extend through Exit 120 (Clearfield/Shawville).
Traffic traveling on I-80 westbound in this area will use the Blue Detour. Motorists will leave the highway at Exit 133, then travel on Route 53 south to Route 2030. The detour then follows Route 322 west and Route 970 north before returning to I-80 at Exit 123.
PennDOT expects to open the roadway by 10 p.m. today.
