CLARION – The ‘Economics of Grazing’ is this year’s theme of the 17th annual Northwest Pennsylvania Grazing Conference.
Participants will learn how to evaluate and improve the soil, forage and animal components of grazing operations to make a positive economic impact. Cattleman, grass genetics expert and author from Arkansas Gearld Fry will be a featured speaker at the conference, which is scheduled for March 13 at the Zion Baptist Church in Clarion. The church is located three miles south of Interstate 80, exit 62.
Fry will talk about how to maximize the returns from your grazing operation and breed for efficient, high performance cows.
Jerry Brunetti, founder of Agri-Dynamics Inc., is an internationally acclaimed speaker and consultant who will discuss grazing, soil mineral fertility and plant biodiversity – health from the hedgerow. Other presentations include: extending the grazing season, grazing cover crops and stocker cattle management and marketing.
