CLEARFIELD – A Curwensville couple arrested for selling heroin as part of “Operation Gobble Up” were sentenced in Clearfield County Court.
Brandon Marshall Timko, 26, and Lacey Rose Levesque, 24, both of 100 Fourth Ave., Curwensville, an inmate of the jail, pleaded guilty before Judge Fredric J. Ammerman. Timko pleaded guilty to delivery of a controlled substance-heroin, delivery of a controlled substance-cocaine, criminal conspiracy and criminal use of communication facility. He was sentenced to six months to two years in jail and two years consecutive probation. He was fined $251 plus costs.
Prior to sentencing, he apologized for his actions and stated he is doing everything he can “to better myself.”
Levesque pleaded guilty to criminal conspiracy/possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance-heroin. She was sentenced to 90 days to one year in jail and two years consecutive probation. She was fined $300 plus costs. They both must complete drug and alcohol counseling and submit to DNA testing at a cost of $250.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on July 30 an undercover agent made a purchase of two stamp bags of heroin from Timko and Levesque for $50. The transaction was completed at their home in Curwensville while Levesque’s son played outside.
Timko told the agent he had three bundles of heroin left and this was the last bundle he was going to break up. Levesque explained that the heroin came from Philadelphia and each bundle had 10 bags of heroin.
A second buy from the couple was arranged by the agent who text-messaged Timko asking if he had a “gram” he could purchase. Timko said he didn’t have anything but he could get “hard” referring to cocaine and that all the agent needed to do was give Timko a ride to his source to get the drug. The price was $100 per gram.
The agent picked Timko up in Curwensville and drove him to East End in Clearfield. He dropped Timko off on Daisy Street after giving him $100. Timko walked away and returned after a few minutes with one gram of a white powdery substance. He then boasted about the quality of the cocaine.
“Operation Gobble Up” involved agents from the Attorney General’s Office and officers from the Clearfield County Drug Task Force who identified several suspects as active participants in drug activities in Clearfield County. An investigation followed that made use of advanced surveillance techniques including electronic surveillance, as well as undercover purchases of illegal drugs such as cocaine, heroin, marijuana and various prescription medications, according to a press release from Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr.
