Sections of I-80 Closed in Clinton, Centre and Clearfield Counties

CLEARFIELD – PennDOT advises drivers that two sections of Interstate 80 are closed in PennDOT District 2 at this hour due to accidents.

I-80 westbound is closed between Exit 173 (Lamar) in Clinton County and Exit 161 (Bellefonte) in Centre County. The Yellow Detour is in effect, which will take motorists off of I-80 at Exit 173, south on Route 64, north on Route 220 and back to I-80 at Exit 161.

I-80 eastbound is closed in Clearfield County between Exit 111(Clearfield/Penfield) and Exit 120 (Clearfield/Shawville). The Blue Detour is in effect, which will take motorists off of I-80 at Exit 111 then onto Route 153 south/Route 322 east, to Route 879 east and back to I-80 at Exit 120.

Motorists will be alerted to the incident through the use of the Highway Advisory Radio System and Dynamic Message System signs.

PennDOT expects to re-open the roadway by 1 p.m.
