Public Welcome to Screening of Forks Over Knives

DUBOIS – All members of the community are invited to a public screening of the film Forks Over Knives at Penn State DuBois.  The documentary examines the claim that most degenerative diseases that afflict society can be controlled or reversed by rejecting animal-based and processed foods.  The screening is slated for 12 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Feb. 24, in the Hiller Auditorium.

This event is hosted by the Penn State DuBois Green Team, and will also kick off the Green Team’s Meatless Mondays program in the Lion’s Den Café.  Meatless Mondays will bring new, healthy, no-meat options to the menu at the Lion’s Den each Monday.  Free samples of vegetarian chili will be available following the screening.

The Penn State DuBois Green Team works to promote healthy and environmentally conscious initiatives on campus at Penn State DuBois, and in the community.  To achieve those goals, the team hosts guest speakers, educational programs, and healthy living programs that are open to the public.
