BROOKVILLE – Kerith Strano Taylor, a family law attorney, has announced she is running for the office of Representative in the U.S. Congress for Pennsylvania’s 5th District.
A graduate of the Pennsylvania State University and George Mason School of Law, Strano Taylor returned to her hometown of Brookville and opened her own law firm where she practices family law. Through her professional work and volunteer efforts, she has become known throughout the Commonwealth as a champion for children and families.
Her solid reputation has earned her a seat at many different policy making tables. Since 2004, she has served as Guardian ad Litem for Jefferson County, representing children who find themselves in the foster care system.
Strano Taylor also holds elected positions. She serves as president of the Brookville Area School Board and was appointed to the Federal Relations Network, a national advocacy organization that works to improve education policy.
Strano Taylor cited the issues of national debt, policy and political gridlock, education and sustainability among those to be addressed throughout her candidacy and service as Congresswomen.
“I am a concerned citizen that sees a fundamental lack of leadership in Pennsylvania’s 5th Congressional District and in Washington. I will bring a new perspective to Congress. Negotiation works when the needs of the people are put first,” said Strano Taylor.
“As a small business owner, I understand the need for sound fiscal judgment, a balanced budget and providing a stable and open environment that enables growth for employees and businesses.” As an advocate for children and families, Strano Taylor sees first-hand the impact of a lagging economy on the youngest in our society.
Strano Taylor concluded saying, “I believe Pennsylvania and the nation are still a place of opportunity and that brighter days are ahead of us. Together, we can strengthen our communities and prepare the next generation for success.”
