DEADLOX to Hold Social on Feb. 7

DUBOIS – On Feb. 7, the 4-H Robotics Team, DEADLOX 4484, will host a social event to connect with the community and local sponsors.

The social will take place from 3:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the robot build site located at 51 Developac Rd., DuBois.  It’s located behind the Wal-Mart store and Buck’s Pizza and next to Fayette Resources.

The team has been working around-the-clock and building a robot for the 2014 Greater Pittsburgh Regional FRC Competition, which is taking place March 27-29 at the California University of Pennsylvania.  At the competition, the team will be among 50 other teams from across the United States and Canada.

In its second year, the team is made up of 10 dedicated members from the DuBois Area High School and nine adult mentors that volunteer their time to guide the teens. The team’s robot needs to be completed within six weeks and building must stop Feb. 18.
