Penn State Altoona to host Giancarlo Esposito

ALTOONA – Giancarlo Esposito will present at Penn State Altoona as part of the college’s Distinguished Speaker Series at 7:30 p.m., Feb. 16 in the Adler Gymnasium.

Esposito is an American actor, director and producer. He is likely best known for his portrayal of Gustavo “Gus” Fring on the AMC series Breaking Bad, for which he won the Best Supporting Actor in a Drama award at the 2012 Critics’ Choice Television Awards.

He was also nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series award at the 2012 Primetime Emmy Awards for the role. He has portrayed Sidney Glass on ABC’s Once Upon a Time and currently portrays Major Tom Neville in the NBC series Revolution.  Esposito is also well-known for his roles in films such as Do the Right Thing, The Usual Suspects, and King of New York.

Free tickets for the event are available at the Penn State Altoona Bookstore, at the box office in the Misciagna Family Center, or at the door on the evening of the program if not “sold out.”
