WEST DECATUR –The Central Intermediate Unit No. 10 has signed an agreement with Pearson VUE, the computer-based testing (CBT) business of Pearson, to test candidates pursuing their GED.
Pearson VUE believes testing and certification is at the heart of the learning experience. CIU No. 10 will play its part by offering accessible and secure testing to candidates.
Pearson VUE’s advanced system administers exams on behalf of hundreds of businesses, boards and organizations around the globe through the world’s largest most secure test center network. The system enables candidates to register and reschedule their tests online or through a Pearson VUE call center.
“We’re very excited about our new partnership with Pearson VUE,” said Jenna Witherite, manager of Adult and Community Programs. “With the changes that took place with the GED 2014, we knew that we had to do all that we could to meet the needs of our adult students.
“Pearson VUE offers more than 200 different certification exams, and it is our intent at CIU No. 10 to continue working with Pearson VUE to offer more than just the GED. It will take time, but we want to be the testing site for Clearfield County and surrounding areas.”
The list of certification tests available from test sponsors through the Pearson VUE system is continually growing. Test results are quickly transmitted back, ensuring the candidate’s certification status is promptly updated.
All test fees are done directly online and paid with a credit card. To schedule your GED exam or for more information about the GED 2014, you can register online at www.ged.com.
