Hanako Ito, 89, of DuBois died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014 at Christ the King Manor.
Born March 15, 1924 in Hannah, WY, she was the daughter of the late George and Hatsuyo (Niimoto) Miyamoto).
She was married to Noboru Ito and he preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 1981.
She was a homemaker and a very talented seamstress. In 2005, she moved from Colorado to DuBois to be close with her family.
She loved to knit, go fishing and to travel. She was a member of the Japanese American Association in Colorado.
She is survived by four children, Richard Ito of Taos, NM; Colleen Beck and her husband, Don of Delta Junction, AK; Faye Worley and her husband, Paul of Sykesville, MD; and Lloyd Ito and his wife, Kathy of Luthersburg; a brother, William Miyamoto of Arizona; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Services will be held in Thornton, CO. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park.
The Goble-Baronick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
