CLEARFIELD – Members of the “Save the Ritz Committee” would like to thank the community for its loyal support to the Ritz Theater.
The committee hosted several successful fundraisers. If all goes as planned, one new projector will be in place by the end of January, said Committee Chairperson Pamela Babick. She added the committee will remain committed to the Ritz Theater until both projectors have been installed and paid for.
The committee, Babick said, has some ongoing fundraisers. Community members can bring slightly-used clothing and shoes to the Ritz Theater for the Goodwill and take metal to Novey Recycling for “Save the Ritz.”
Also, community members can still purchase a seat plaque; orange, blue or glow-in-the-dark wristbands; and T-shirts. “Movie ticket” stones are still available for any individual, family or business.
Being a New Year with a new projector, Babick said the committee now has new T-shirts in a sapphire blue with the marquee logo for $20. “You can stop by the Ritz and be a part of making history in Clearfield. [You can] help ‘Save the Ritz,’” said Babick.
