Wine Festival Slated for Feb. 1

CLEARFIELD – The Groundhog Wine Trail Festival will be held Feb. 1 at the Expo II Building at the Clearfield County Fairgrounds.

The festival will be the host to 12 wineries, including Starr Hill Vineyard & Winery, Curwensville; Flickerwood Wine Cellars, Kane; Winery at Wilcox, Wilcox; Laurel Mountain Winery, Falls Creek; Oak Spring Winery, Altoona; Wapiti Wood Winery, Dubois; Walnut Hill Winery, Blairsville; Volant Mill Winery, Volant; Foxburg Wine Cellars, Foxburg; Allegheny Cellars, Sheffield; Woody Lodge Winery, Ashville; and Twisted Vine Winery, Kane.

Two sessions will be held during the festival. The first will be from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.; the second will be from 5 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. in the Expo II Building. Tickets must be purchased for a specific session.

Advance tickets are available for $20; tickets will be available at the event for $25. Only 1,000 tickets will be sold for each session.

Entertainment will be provided during the first session by the 14th Street Jazz Band, Anna Pearl Belinda and Robyn Young. The second session will feature KYX, Anna Pearl Belinda and the Acoustic Highway.

The event will feature a photo booth by a sponsor. Other vendors participating in this year’s event are Clearfield Pharmacy & Gift Shoppe, Debb’s Designs, Muddy Run Bears, Nuttin But Nuts, Kare & Cher Creations, Sweet Art Bakery,   Winkler Gallery, Carriage House Creations, Pete’s Pepperoni, Little Dippers, Clover Creek Cheese Cellar, Primitive Me, Adkins Collectibles, Cookie Lee Jewelry, Gary’s Homemade Soaps and Mountain Extreme, Cleopatra’s, Jody’s Art Studio, Uzi’s Pastries, Elk Country Elk Farm, Author Jamie Wilsoncroft, Robbie’s Country Cupboard, Origami Owl and Adina Beaded Creations.
