SPRING MILLS — Undefeated Penns Valley opened up a 43-18 lead by halftime en route to its eighth win, 68-39, over visiting Clearfield in Mountain League boys basketball action Friday night.
Christian Lezzer hit a quartet of three-pointers for the Bison, who slipped to 1-5 in the league and 2-8 overall.
The Rams, 5-0 in the ML, got 16 points from Zach Engle, 14 from Luke Weaver and 12 from Will Jackson.
Clearfield’s jayvees suffered a 45-29 loss. Cody Spaid was high for the Bison with eight points.
Clearfield reaches the halfway mark of the season Tuesday with a home game against Philipsburg-Osceola.
