Phyllis A. Peters, 72, of Winburne died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
Born March 6, 1941 in Scranton, she was the daughter of Thomas and Hilda Motter of Fleetville.
Mrs. Peters was a graduate of the Benton High School. She served as a Benton Township tax collector for more than 27 years.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Lynn Motter and her husband, Ronald G. Peters, whom she wed on March 19, 1960.
She’s survived by her daughter, Lori Nevling and her husband, Jerome of Winburne; her brother, Thomas Motter and his wife, Arlene of Hop Bottom; her grandson, Brandon Krause and his wife, Mindy of State College; her granddaughters, Amanda Krause of State College and Bethany Nevling of Lewistown.
Friends will be received from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. Saturday at the Johnson Funeral Home, Grassflat. A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation.
Services will be conducted by Pastor Earl Shawley of the Messiah Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Messiah Baptist Cemetery, Lanse.
