Meth Lab Found in Brookville Garage

BROOKVILLE – Three people were jailed Thursday after a methamphetamine lab was found in a garage at a Brookville residence, reported the state police at DuBois.

On Aug. 21, 2013, the Pennsylvania State Police Troop C Vice Unit and members of the Jefferson County Drug Task Force initiated an investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine in the Brookville area. The investigation revealed that Michael and April Novak of Brookville and Dean Paige of Blacklick were manufacturing methamphetamine throughout Jefferson County.

Over four months, numerous purchases were made from Paige and Michael Novak. On Thursday, a search warrant was executed at 9747 Richardsville Rd., at which point an active methamphetamine lab was located inside a garage at the residence, state police said.

April Novak and Paige were located inside the garage. Michael and April Novak and Paige were taken into custody on arrest warrants and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Gregory Bazylak, state police said.

All three are incarcerated in the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail. Additional charges are currently pending at this time.
