DUBOIS – The Curwensville Lady Tide basketball team lost for the second time this season on Friday night at DuBois Central Catholic 55-34.
The Lady Tide dug a first half hole that they never climbed out of, trailing by ten at the break, 33-23.
Cold shooting doomed Curwensville in the second 16 minutes; as they could only muster 11 points.
Lady Tide junior Ciara Strickland lead all scorers on the night with 20 points.
Strickland now has 132 points in seven games for Curwensville giving her an average of 18.8 points game.
DuBois Central Catholic had two girls in double figures, Kasey Baronick with 14 and Kylee Schaffer with 11.
The Lady Cardinals also won the junior varsity contest, 39-10, in the first game of the evening. Katie Evans had four points for Curwensville
The Lady Tide (5-2) play West Branch on the road on Wednesday. The JV battle tips off at 6 pm and the varsity immediately follows.
