Ricky L. Frantz, 55, of Luthersburg died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013 at his residence.
Born May 28, 1958 in DuBois, he was the son of Henry and Mildred (Neiswonger) Frantz. His father preceded him in death; his mother survives and lives in Sykesville.
On June 11, 1994, he married Pamela (Tillotson) Frantz. She survives.
Mr. Frantz was a truck driver for Devonian Resources for many years. Prior to that, he was a rig hand for Fairman Drilling.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He was a member of the Sykesville Eagles Aerie 4454, the Sandy Hose Company No. 1 Firemen’s Club and the “Scrub Masters.”
He is survived by three sons, Jimmie Frantz and Rickie Frantz and his wife, Jess, both of Reynoldsville and Jody Frantz of DuBois and four daughters, Pattie Frantz Hannold and her husband, Mike of Troutville; Kristina McCauley and her husband, Jonathan and Cassandra Frantz, both of DuBois; and April Frantz of Luthersburg.
He’s survived by three brothers, Lloyd Frantz of Helvetia, Jay Frantz of DuBois and Terry Frantz of Luthersburg; and numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Frantz.
Friends will be received from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. and from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home Inc.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Melhorn officiating.
Memorials may be placed with the charity of the donor’s choice.
