Robert K. “Bob” Gilham, 77, of Philipsburg died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013 at Windy Hill Village, Philipsburg.
Born Jan. 21, 1936, he was a son of the late Ezekial G. “Zeke” and Susann (Kelley) Gilham. On Aug. 31, 1968 in Philipsburg, he married Shirley (Hartman) Gilham, who survives at home.
He is also survived by four children, including, Brenda Lingle of Spring Mills; two brothers, Wilbur E. “Bud” Gilham and his wife, Lorraine of Philipsburg and Roy E. “Ray” Gilham and his wife, Dona of State College; two sisters, Sarah Simcox of Philipsburg and Mary Scott of Lewisburg; several grandchildren, including Alison Kephart and John Huber; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, George McClellan, Lew D. Gilham and Marlyn O. Gilham and one sister, Trissie Shultz.
He was a graduate of Philipsburg High School. After 29 years of service, he retired from the Pennsylvania Water Company, where he was a serviceman. He was of the Protestant faith and a life member of Reliance Fire Company, Philipsburg. He was also an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St. Philipsburg, with Pastor Ted G. Seibert officiating.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. -6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
