Douglas L. Dixon, 54, of Glen Richey died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013 at his residence.
Born Feb. 19, 1959 in Clearfield, he was the son of Lyle J. Dixon Jr. and Barbara (Cupples) Dixon Ogden.
Mr. Dixon had worked for Kurtz Bros. for 32 years. He was a truck driver for J.P. Donmoyer Inc. for four years and also had worked for Fire Art Fireworks.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. He loved his family and riding his Harley-Davidson.
Surviving are his father and step-mother, Lorena Dixon of Olanta; his mother and step-father, Thomas Ogden of Clearfield; two daughters, Lisa Dixon and her companion, Richard Lyon Jr. of Grampian and Lesley Dixon-Wilt and her husband, Scott of Olanta; two step-children, Mandy Kruise of Uniontown and Joseph Ralston III of Curwensville; three grandchildren, Timothy Lyon, Lilly Lyon and Carson Dixon; and two sisters, Terry Killion and her husband, Paul of Hyde and Tracey Taft and her husband, Jack of Warren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Scott K. Dixon.
There will be no public visitation and a Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at a later date. Burial will be in the Thompson Cemetery Glen Richey.
The family suggests contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s Choice.
