Dorothy Gadzia, 89, of Treasure Lake, DuBois, died Monday, Dec. 23, 2013 at the DuBois Village.
Born Sept. 11, 1924 in Rocky Grove, she was the daughter of the late Ivan and Isetta (Shoup) Thomas.
On June 19, 1964, she married Frank Gadzia. He preceded her in death on Feb. 9, 2010.
She worked as a practical nurse for a doctor’s office.
She was protestant by faith and was a devoted and faithful churchgoer.
She is survived by two children, Dr. Daryl W. List and his wife, Ellen of West Middlesex and the Rev. Sandra Harknett and her husband, Rich of Treasure Lake, DuBois; three grandchildren, Michael List, Amanda List Samuels and Jennafer Arnold; and four great-grandchildren, Andrew, Kennedy and Mia List and Kaetelyn Samuels.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Rolland Thomas and her sister, Marie Alexander.
There will be no public visitation.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
