Woodland Man Hospitalized in Altoona after Bradford Twp. Accident

BRADFORD TOWNSHIP – A Woodland man was hospitalized in Altoona after being in a single-vehicle accident Sunday on Shiloh Road in Bradford Township, reported the state police at Clearfield.

Ronald D. Maines, 56, of Woodland was traveling westbound when his vehicle exited onto the north berm at the intersection of Shiloh and Thompson roads. Then, its right front fender struck a ditch; it came to a final rest adjacent to the ditch, facing west.

Maines wasn’t wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident. He was transported to Altoona for treatment of major injuries, state police said. Maines was cited for careless driving.

State police were assisted at the scene by the Bigler-Jackson-Woodland Fire Company No. 1.
