CLEARFIELD – A 35-year-old Clearfield man, Jason A. Hand, has been jailed for burglarizing the Florian Banquet Center on Thursday in Lawrence Township, reported the state police at Clearfield.
Hand allegedly used a pry bar to gain entry into the banquet center. Once inside he fled after an audible alarm activated; upon arrival to the scene, state police followed tracks in the snow to Hand’s residence.
Hand has been charged with burglary, criminal trespass and criminal mischief. He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Richard Ireland. He was placed in the Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
Hand’s preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Dec. 23.
