WESTOVER — Junior Trey Rauckhorst fronted a three-pronged attack with a career-high 15 points and also grabbed nine rebounds as the Curwensville Area High School boys basketball team rolled past host Harmony 68-31 Thursday night.
Senior guards Tanner Elensky and Brett Gardner chimed in with 11 and 10 points, respectively, and also registered five assists apiece in the Golden Tide’s second straight Moshannon Valley League win.
“We did a good job of moving the ball around and looking inside, where we had an advantage,” Curwensville coach Shane Pentz said.
The Golden Tide, 4-1 overall, was in complete control by halftime, 33-14, and then posted a 20-point third quarter.
Logan Sral tallied a game-high 16 points for Harmony (0-4, 0-2 MVL).
In the junior varsity game, Curwensville romped to a 54-17 victory with R.J. Olson scoring 10 points and Quamone Newkirk adding nine.
The Golden Tide makes the long road trip to Kane Friday night for an Allegheny Mountain League cross-over game. The Wolves are 1-4.
